Guide to finding and using Sorush in Genshin Impact
Firstly, you must find the quest that gives you Sorush. A new region called the ‘Girdle of the Sands’ is available since the new 3.6 update. As soon as you come across the first Teleport Waypoint to this new area, you can start the quest called ‘The Splendrous Sky That Day’. Near the start of the quest, you’ll meet Sorush, and they will soon appear in your inventory.
Throughout this quest, you’ll learn different ways to use Sorush around this region. If you don’t unlock the tutorials for this quest, you won’t be able to do most of the activities, so make sure to complete the quest. If you’ve gone through the tutorials and are still confused on how to use Sorush, I’ll explain everything below.
Sorush’s mobility and moves
Once you’ve equipped Sorush, press the ‘Z’ key to control her. Sorush will replace you, letting you fly up, down, left, and right. Pressing ‘Right Click’ on your mouse lets you fly faster, but don’t go too far. You can only use Sorush in a specific radius, which you can see marked on your mini-map with a circle. If you press the ‘Z’ key again, you’ll be transported back into your body.
Your new Pari friend also has an ability by pressing the Elemental Skill button, which should be the ‘E’ key. This will guide the might of Khvarena, which is a power that Sorush can use in multiple different situations.
Sorush Gadget puzzles
One of the many puzzles that Sorush can interact with are the Nirodha Fruit. If you see any glowing orange crystals around the ‘Girdle of the Sands’, you’ll also find a Nirodha Fruit close by. While using Sorush, fly up to the fruit and use her special ability.
You’ve now collected the fruit, which you can throw at the orange crystal to break it. When you have the Nirodha Fruit, press the ‘Q’ key to unleash the fruit and melt the crystal.
The next puzzle looks like a glowing green orb tucked behind some vines. This is called a Burgeoning Spirit, which Sorush can interact with using her ability. If there are a few of these in the area, interact with them all and you should receive a chest with rewards inside.
Some of these Burgeoning Spirits have Gray Crystals around them, which require more Khvarena power to break. These will usually have a Farrwick nearby that you can use to help you out.
Another cool puzzle you can find includes some Purple Mist in the Asipattravana Swamp. When in Sorush mode, use her power near a set of glowing, thorny branches. Once the mist is parted, find a nearby Nirodha Fruit and harvest it. You can use that same throwing ability to drop the fruit on every ball of mist.
To unlock another Sorush ability, complete ‘As the Khvarena’s Light Shows’, which is the fourth quest in the ‘Khvarena of Good and Evil’ group of quests. After receiving the Twin-Horned Chaplet. you now have the ability to dispel Amrita seals. Also, Sorush can interact with Four-Leaf Sigils, which allow for quick teleportation. Sorush is able to use her ability to pick them up, and move them somewhere else. This is helpful for when you want to teleport somewhere, but the sigil isn’t exactly where you want it to be.
Finally, you’ll notice around this region there are floating Plumes of Purifying Light. You can use these to feed the Amrita Pool, but you usually can’t take them that easily. While using Sorush, touch the Plume, and a quick test of flight will begin. A trail of leaves will appear, and a countdown timer starts. Collect every leaf and the Plume before the time runes out. Now that you know how to find and use your Sorush Gadget in Genshin Impact, you’ll be able to complete dozens of interesting puzzles across the Girdle of the Sands.
