Harry Potter Magic Awakened: Ivy’s Nightmare strategies, echo, and best deck
To beat Ivy’s Nightmare in Harry Potter Magic Awakened, you need to have a winning deck with an echo that synergizes well all while employing the best strategies during the battle.
Ivy’s Nightmare’s deck works extremely well at countering summon decks, so I highly advise against using your best summon deck, even if it’s a really good one. Instead, I recommend using the high MP cost spell deck with Hermione Granger as your echo.

Best echo to beat Ivy’s Nightmare in Harry Potter Magic Awakened
To create the high MP cost spell deck, you need to have Hermione Granger as your echo. This echo is found fairly early in the Forbidden Forest, so if you don’t have the Hermione Granger echo yet, go to the Forbidden Forest and unlock it. The reason Hermione Granger is crucial to this deck is because she’ll lower the cost of your highest MP cost spell as you use lower MP cost spells.
Best deck to beat Ivy’s Nightmare in Harry Potter Magic Awakened
Once you have Hermione Granger in your deck, the goal is to use only spell cards, or one or two summons max, and balance your high MP spells with your low MP spells. To do this, I use Expelliarmus, Essence of Dittany, and Bewitched Snowball which all cost three MP which triggers the echo’s ability. Then, I use Lightning Storm, Wheasley’s Wildfire Whiz-Bangs, and Protego Diabolica. You can do this with any spells you want or have access to, but those are the ones I use and recommend.
Best strategies to beat Ivy’s Nightmare in Harry Potter Magic Awakened
Ivy’s Nightmare likes to send summons at you and has powerful spells to defeat any summons you send at her. The goal in battle is to continuously send your low MP cost spells at her as she hides in the top corner. Make sure to have some healing spells and AoE spells to deal with summons she sends your way. I also recommend using your best companions, like Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, or the Frey Twins.
If you die during the fight with Ivy’s Nightmare, the game recommends that you be at least spellbook level 27 and have your echo be at least level 10. I beat Ivy’s Nightmare with a lower level spellbook and echo, so it is possible, but if you are struggling, increasing your spellbook level will make your spells stronger.
If you’re consistent with your barrage of spells, then you’ll defeat Ivy’s Nightmare and be able to experience the rest of the great story hidden within the Harry Potter Magic Awakened campaign.
