How often do you clean up your living space? And I’m not just talking about Starfield or any other game — but in real life. Are you the type of person who cleans once a year when everyone gets on that ‘Spring cleaning’ wave, or do you tidy up your house daily? If you’re like the latter, then you would absolutely hate u/foslforever, a Starfield player with an… interesting way of managing their own personal space. It is hard to put into words exactly how the ship of this user looks, so instead, we’ll just show you and you can make the conclusion yourself. Just be warned, it isn’t pretty — especially for clean-aholics!
That’s right, feast your eyes on this absolute mess of a living space. I mean, it’s hard enough to walk around through the tight hallways of spaceships already! How are you supposed to get to anything? More importantly, how do you even find anything? Well, according to the Reddit post that accompanies the lovely image we’ve provided for you above, u/foslforever was challenged a couple of weeks ago by another player, who dared to say that they couldn’t keep their items outside of cargo on their ship. It appears like the Reddit user took their words to heart because they’ve seemingly dumped all of their stuff on the ground!
Other users seem to be celebrating the ‘creative’ use of space on the ship, with one offering the idea that the original poster should get a bottom-mounted storage hub so that they can just chuck their stuff down the ladder hole whenever they want. Another imaginative player suggested carrying everything on your person and then heading into the washroom of your ship. Then, you could drop everything on the bathroom floor after you’ve closed the door before fast-traveling out of the room. As soon as someone goes to use the facilities, the mountain of items you’ve hidden behind the door will pour out like a flood on the unsuspecting player!
Can you lose your items if you try this?
Fortunately, it does not appear like your items are at risk if you attempt to replicate this player’s mess of a storage system. Although why you would want to live like this is beyond us, making changes to your ship or swapping ships will not make your items disappear. They will, however, be sent to cargo, so you’ll need to redo your trash heap, but at least everything will be accounted for! If you switch ships to a smaller vessel, your new home’s cargo will be overloaded, but you will still be able to keep all of your items as well. Maybe u/foslforever has discovered an exploit to expand storage space on ships, meaning their uncleanliness was helpful after all?
