Cooking is truly one of life’s simple pleasures, so it makes sense for a life sim like Disney Dreamlight Valley to incorporate it as a core mechanic as well. By gathering ingredients from across the game’s various biomes, you can cook up all manner of tasty treats for your character to enjoy.
These range from the simple, such as one-star Hard-Boiled Eggs, to the complex, such as the four-star Buñuelos. The latter recipes tend to be much more effective, both in terms of the Energy and Star Coin rewards they can provide, so it’s useful to know how to make Buñuelos in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Read on for a full guide on how to do so.
How to cook up some Buñuelos in Disney Dreamlight Valley
For those who don’t know, Buñuelos are a Spanish and Latin American dish, consisting of fried dough fritters typically served with some kind of topping. The Buñuelos in Disney Dreamlight Valley are cheese-fried, and are a four-star Appetizer that can be prepared surprisingly early in the game if you know what you’re doing.
As with every recipe in Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to gather a list of specific ingredients before you can cook the Buñuelos. These ingredients are as follows:
Ingredient: | How to Get: |
Wheat | Grow from Wheat Seeds, purchased at Goofy’s Stall in Peaceful Meadow. |
Eggs | Purchase from Chez Remy for 220 Star Coins. |
Cheese | Purchase from Chez Remy for 180 Star Coins. |
Milk | Purchase from Chez Remy for 230 Star Coins. |
Once you’ve assembled the full list, head to any Cooking Station to cook the Buñuelos. You’ll also need one piece of Coal Ore to perform the cooking operation, but it won’t consume any Energy.
Peaceful Meadow is the first biome you’ll visit in the game, and Chez Remy can be unlocked in the Plaza beforehand if you complete the ‘An Important Night at the Restaurant’ and ‘A Restaurant Makeover’ quests. Because of this, you can cook Buñuelos very early on in the game, provided you have the Star Coins to buy all the necessary ingredients.
In terms of effects, Buñuelos give a minimum of 1,881 Energy when eaten, enough to grant you a Well-Fed Bonus for much of the game, and sell for a minimum of 948 Star Coins. Given they cost just over 630 Star Coins to cook, this can be a nice way to convert time into money early on if you need to.
And there you have it: a full guide on how to make Buñuelos in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It’s not the most impressive recipe in the book, but it’s a heavy-hitter in the early game, and a great use of your resources until you gain access to five-star recipes, such as the bouillabaisse, later on.
