In LEGO Fortnite, your village level is determined by the village rating, that increases through buildings and items. If you destroy them, does the village rating decrease?
Does Village Rating decrease when you destroy buildings in LEGO Fortnite?
To upgrade your Village Square (village level) in LEGO Fortnite, you need to increase the Village Rating to the next level. Village Rating can be increased by constructing buildings, stations, and furniture in the bounds of the village, shown by a border when you enter build mode.
When you destroy anything in the village bounds in LEGO Fortnite, the Village Rating will actually go down equal to that item’s value. So if you destroy everything a village, it will drop to zero Village Rating. However, this will not affect the level of the Village Square. Also, the yellow bar that shows Village Rating won’t decrease past the current level.

This means that you can fully destroy the village and rebuild it, and you won’t miss out on the bonuses and you won’t lose any villagers.
You can even destroy the Village Square itself, and the village and level will remain the same. You can proceed to rebuild the Village Square anywhere you want in the bounds of the established village. So you can only build the Village Square to level it up and can destroy it again if you don’t like how it looks.
How to destroy buildings in LEGO Fortnite
If you’re looking to destroy you village buildings in LEGO Fortnite for some renovations, you may be confused as to why your axe or swords aren’t doing any damage. That’s because there are two specific tools that do good damage against structures and buildings. Your hands and the Pickaxes.
As long as you have an empty slot in your Quick-Bar, you can access your fists, and you can attack your buildings and structures. You’ll be dealing 15 damage, and everything will take three hits to destroy. The same is said for the Pickaxes, although they get more effective the better they are.
Alternatively, you can use Dynamite or a Boom Barrel to get the job done.
Upon destruction of something, you’ll get all the resources that it took to build it. Even upgraded stations will give you back all the materials it cost to upgrade it, so you can build another one and upgrade it to the same level instantly.
