A semi-hardcore platform-adventure game, Monospaced Lovers has been designed to subvert the typical MetroidVania formula.
Rather, this title prides itself on exploration-driven quests and puzzles reminiscent of classic Zelda – think Fez, La Mulana, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
Monospaced Lovers also takes these elements and combines them with a visual novel-inspired storyline that has been designed to be equal parts emotional and philosophical.
Rounding things out in Monospaced Lovers is a hand painted world that is ripe for exploration. Along the way, players will be able to chat up the local Tanuki, learn how to translate Slimespeak, and explore every corner of your quaint hometown until one has found more than 60 different collectibles.
