by theygamesAnnounced during last week’s ANZ Indie Showcase: Summer Edition, solo developer Soliloquy Games announced their Japanese-inspired 2D action-platformer Wren’s Resurgence will launch on Steam January 24.
A 2D action platformer, Wren’s Resurgence has the titular Wren fighting her way through Yokai-infested lands on a mission to rescue her sister Swan.
Katana in hand, Wren’s Resurgence pays host to fast-paced movement that utilizes rōnin combat, along with the ability to double jump, dash, and climb up walls across 10 levels. Players will also be able to unlock eight different weapons along the way.
Wren’s Resurgence also grants the player new powers from the Yokai Wren defeats, while protection provided by her upgradeable Omamori charm provides insight into the true nature of each defeated Yokai.
