Where are the Gravid Bowfin locations in Monster Hunter Wilds?
You can find one Gravid Bowfin location as soon as you unlock the Scarlet Forest biome. Fast travel to the main camp, head out, and follow the river east toward area 3.
Where the land meets the river just outside of the camp appears to be the best place to find the Gravid Bowfin. Just cast your rod and hope for the best.
You can increase Gravid Bowfin spawns and filter through the other fish calling its spot home by fishing during the day while using its preferred Emerald Bait.
How do I get Emerald Bait in Monster Hunter Wilds?
If you’re struggling to land the Gravid Bowfin, you’re probably not using the Emerald Jitterbait. You can switch to this while your rod is out by holding LB/L1 and using the top and bottom face buttons. On a keyboard, hold CTRL and use your mouse wheel to scroll through your bait.
If you don’t happen to have the Emerald Jiterbait in your list, chances are you’re not far enough through the fishing sidequests. These are available by speaking to Kanya at the fishing pond at the back of the main Scarlet Forest camp.
Complete her first quest, then head back later in the main storyline to pick up the Goldenfish quest. You’ll find the Emerald Jitterbait in your pouch as soon as you start the quest, giving you access to the best way to catch the Gravid Bowfin very early on.
