I’m very well aware that your Steam library is already bulging with games that you haven’t got around to playing yet, but when a seasonal sale comes around, it’s always worth a rummage to grab some bargains – even if it does make that backlog even bigger. The Steam Spring Sale 2025 has just arrived with thousands of discounts, so to save you some legwork, we’ve selected our ten favorite new deals.

So, why these deals in particular? Well, some knock as much as 90% off of brilliant, well-known names. Some cut down the price of recently released new PC games. Others make under-the-radar bangers irresistibly cheap. This new Steam Sale is packed with remarkable discounts, and here are the ones we think you should take advantage of.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (30% off)

You know a game is both excellent and deeply adored when you can plan to make three different remakes of it and fans don’t mind one bit. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the middle child in this trio of FF7 remakes, and just a couple of months ago it debuted on PC. Now, in what is its first post-launch discount, you can grab this epic RPG with 30% off. Even if you haven’t played a previous version of Final Fantasy 7, it’s an adventure anyone can get stuck into. Its deep real-time combat systems, engrossing exploration, and huge lineup of weird and wonderful minigames mean it’s great value now that it’s dipped below the $50 mark.

Doom (90% off)

With the Doom The Dark Ages release date fast approaching, now seems like a good time to revisit the series, fill in any gaps in your Doom repertoire, or try the beloved boomer shooters for the first time. The Steam Spring Sale has slapped big discounts on pretty much every Doom game on Valve’s storefront, but the biggest has been bestowed to 2016’s Doom. It’s down to its lowest ever price of just $1.99 / £1.59, which is an absolute steal. The most recent mainline game, Doom Eternal, is also cheap with 75% off right now.

Project Zomboid (45% off)

If you love zombie games and you’ve never played Project Zomboid, you need to change that – pronto. Blending the challenging survival elements of games like DayZ with a visual style reminiscent of early The Sims, it may look a bit basic on the surface, but it’s anything but. It recently pushed out its enormous build 42 update, and even though it’s still in its ‘unstable’ beta form, it completely transforms the game for the better. Combine that with a 45% discount, bringing it down to a new all-time low price of $10.99 / £9.21, and it really is the ideal time to get into Project Zomboid.

Stalker 2 (15% off)

One of last year’s biggest new releases, the haunting and engrossing survival FPS game Stalker 2 has been pretty resistant to discounts. However, the Steam Spring Sale gives you a chance to finally grab it with some money off thanks to a 15% discount. Be warned that Stalker 2 is no stroll in the irradiated park, but if realistic survival gameplay and horror game-level scares are your thing, it’s a must-play.

Monster Hunter Stories (34% off)

Here’s one that’s maybe a little obscure but super relevant to anyone hooked on Monster Hunter Wilds right now. Originally released as a Nintendo 3DS title almost ten years ago, Monster Hunter Stories offers an alternative, streamlined RPG experience in comparison to behemoths like Wilds. You scour the land for monster eggs, hatch them, ride them around the overworld, and take them into battles. It’s all still entrenched in the same Monster Hunter universe, and it’s now less than $20 thanks to its 34% discount, so it might be an ideal side dish if you need to take a break from the more intense, time-consuming Wilds.

Mouthwashing (20% off)

What was 2024’s best horror game? The remake of Silent Hill 2 is likely the most popular answer. Some may even say the creepy, oil rig-based Still Wakes the Deep. But with an 88 average review score on Metacritic, and a mind-boggling 96% positive Steam user score, Mouthwashing is not to be slept on. This surreal psychological horror experience, which sees you stranded on a drifting spaceship, is a must-play, and while it’s a fairly affordable game to begin with, it’s now even cheaper with 20% off.

Anno 1800 (90% off)

If you’re a city building game fan and you’re yet to dive into the Anno series, here’s the perfect opportunity to do so. Anno 1800 tasks you with constructing a thriving city at the start of the Industrial Age, creating factories and supply lines to build yourself into a global hub of trade and commerce. As well as throwing up the right buildings at the right time, you must also manage the needs of your workers and citizens, making this a good entry point into the wider world of strategy games. With an enormous 90% discount, it’s well worth a try.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut (33% off)

One of the best single-player games of the last decade, it took a criminally long time for Ghost of Tsushima to come to PC. Last year, that long wait finally ended, and now you can grab the Director’s Cut on Steam for its lowest ever price. Nothing portrays the samurai fantasy quite like Ghost of Tsushima, and with its sequel Ghost of Yotei coming up later in 2025, you should definitely get this ticked off your list of must-plays soon.

Sons of the Forest (50% off)

While it may not be quite as fiercely worshipped as its iconic predecessor, Sons of the Forest is a more than adequate sequel to The Forest and is one of the best survival games of recent years. Given that the elevator pitch for Sons of the Forest is ‘get stranded on a remote island full of cannibals, and don’t die,’ there’s actually a surprising amount of lore and storytelling to get lost in. While it’s a great solo experience, building bases and fighting off hordes of cannibals is even better when you drag your pals along too – Sons of the Forest supports parties of up to eight players. Given its scope and replayability, it’s a steal at just $14.99 / £12.49 with its 50% discount.

Robocop Rogue City (80% off)

If you want a truly underrated single-player FPS game, look no further than Robocop Rogue City. While most modern shooters push for fast and flashy movement, Rogue City prioritizes immersing you in a proper Robocop fantasy – barge in, slow but strong, and mow down your enemies. Right now, it’s just $9.99 / £8.99, making it excellent value whether you’re a fan of the franchise or not. Oh, and it’s got an exciting spin-off DLC coming soon too.

So there you have it, ten amazing deals from the Steam Spring Sale 2025. Of course, there are hundreds more games featured in the sale, but these are some real standouts.
