Algorithm Matrix and Light Guiding Tetrahedron guide

There’s another farmable boss in Genshin Impact, and it looks like it’s going to win the “Most Annoying Boss Name” award. It’s none other than the Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network — basically, another robot with lasers. Here’s our Genshin Impact Algorithm Matrix guide to help you defeat this enemy so you can acquire the Light Guiding Tetrahedron for Candace. And, yes, I’m going to shorten its name.

Genshin Impact guide – Algorithm Matrix boss and Light Guiding Tetrahedron

The Algortihm Matrix boss in Genshin Impact can be found in the southwestern portion of Sumeru Desert, in an area known as the Dune of Elusion. Ideally, you’ll want to tag the Status of the Seven and fast travel points until you get there. Once you arrive, you’ll see another teleporter outside the temple.

Enter the temple to find the boss’ semi-transparent outline. Go to the center of the arena to make it spawn. It has the following abilities:

• Sky Shards – The boss will separate into multiple arrays, firing a barrage of lasers at your character for several seconds. Just keep running to avoid the projectiles.
• Drones Defense – A couple of drones will appear connected to generators. Destroy these so they stop shooting you.
• Shield Wall – The boss will switch to a defensive stance, creating a wall in front of it that will move outward.

• Pylons and Overclock – This robot will turn invisible, and only a couple of pylons will be left on the ground. You’ll need to use Electro abilities or Catalyze reactions (i.e., Electro and Dendro) to take these out. This will remove the invisibility and render the boss immobile for a few seconds due to overclocking. This would be a good time to unleash your bursts. If you’re unable to destroy the pylons in time, the boss will gain power and use overclocked attacks instead.

Defeating the Algorithm Matrix in Genshin Impact yields Vayuda Turquoise and Agnidus Agate (i.e., Anemo and Pyro gems respectively). Likewise, you’ll also receive Light Guiding Tetrahedrons. These are character ascension materials that are, as of version 3.1, usable by Candace only. If you want to level her up, then you’ll want to farm this boss from time to time.
