Who are the Fragpunk characters? The tactical FPS game rips up the rule book in more ways than one; game-changing cards can be used in between rounds to add an edge to your strategies, but perhaps the crux of your attack (or defense) is the characters you deploy. Each Fragpunk character has three different abilities that can drastically alter the course of any fight.

Fragpunk is an interesting blend of hero shooter and tactical FPS game, and if you want to succeed, you will have to have intimate knowledge of each of the characters on offer. Destroying the opposition requires knowledge of your capabilities and the limitations of who you’re up against.

Fragpunk characters and abilities

Here are each of the Fragpunk characters and their abilities:

Broker

  • Goddard’s Vengeance: A personal rocket launcher that causes damage and knocks enemies back when fired.
  • Smokestack Lightning: A coin-like gadget that creates a line of vision-obscuring smoke when thrown.
  • Cherry Bomb: A scatter-grenade-like gadget that leaves multiple trap bombs on the ground.

Nitro

  • Chug Chug: Deploys a combat drone that can be controlled remotely.
  • The Wall: Creates a wall of shields, providing cover for any characters standing behind them.
  • Mr. Pewpew: Deploys a sentry turret that automatically fires on any enemy character in its line of sight.

Hollowpoint

  • Meterora: A single-shot railgun that can detect enemies in the field of view.
  • Smoke Screen: Deploy a smoke screen that slowly moves forward, revealing any enemies that it touches.
  • Paparazzi: A trap that automatically attaches to a nearby enemy, revealing them.

Jaguar

  • Live Wire: A trap that uses electricity to slow and damage any enemy caught in it. Enemies caught in Live Wire will have the Hunter’s Last Gift passive applied.
  • Electric Avenue: Summons electric cages around enemies that  apply the Hunter’s Last Gift passive ability.
  • I Can See For Miles: Shows the number of enemies and their general direction, alongside low-health enemies and those afflicted with the Hunter’s Last Gift passive ability.
  • Hunter’s Last Gift (passive): Any enemy with the Hunter’s Last Gift passive ability applied to them is detected.

Pathojen

  • Emotional Rescue: Throw a grenade-like gadget that creates a healing field, restoring health to you and your teammates over time.
  • Shroom Wall: Create a wall to be used as cover, or to block a doorway. This cover can be destroyed.
  • Killer queen: A throwable trap that afflicts the enemy with poison, dealing damage over time when detonated.
  • Chemical Romance (passive): Pathojen is immune to poison.

Sonar

  • Echolocation: Deploy a gadget that periodically reveals moving enemies in the surrounding area.
  • Sonic Surge: Charge up a sonic wave that, if it hits enemies, exposes, knocks back, and dazes them.
  • Sound of Silence: Dampens the footsteps of you and your surrounding teammates. Dampened footsteps provide immunity from opposing Echolocation.

Corona

  • Fast Lane: Dash a short distance in any direction.
  • Ashes to Ashes: A throwable gadget that creates a field on the ground. This field deals damage over time to enemies inside it and provides Corona with damage reduction.
  • Hothead: An ability that, when fully charged, blinds any front-facing enemies looking directly at Corona.

Serket

  • Station to Station: A deployable beacon that Serket can use to teleport back to within a short period. Serket is concealed when deploying this beacon.
  • Gold Dust Woman: Conjure a tornado that moves in a straight line, slowing and blinding enemies caught in its path.
  • Dilemma: A throwable gadget that pulls enemies into its center.

Zephyr

  • Midnight Rambler: Activate a cloak that periodically changes from complete invisibility to partial invisibility. Only melee weapons can be used while Midnight Rambler is active, and the invisibility ends once a gun is used.
  • Fade Away: Designate an area where the full invisibility of Midnight Rambler will be constantly active.
  • Get Back: A throwable beacon that Zephyr can teleport back to.

Kismet

  • Hello, Goodbye: Scans any enemies in front of Kismet.
  • Misery Angel: Throws a grenade that deals damage to enemies in range.
  • Walk on the Wild Side: Enter Rift Walk and become invisible and invulnerable, but you are unable to see other characters or gadgets.

Axon

  • Electric Guitar: Axon produces a modified electric guitar that can fire ‘Sticky Finger’ bombs.
  • Sticky Fingers: A grenade that bounces off surfaces but sticks to enemies.
  • Super Freak: When active, Axon is immune to blind effects.
  • Darkslide (passive): Axon can press the couch key to slide when running at a sprint.

Spider

  • Teleporter: Spider can place two teleporters and move between them at will.
  • Spirited Away: A throwable trap that teleports all characters in the vicinity to where Spider was when they used the ability.
  • Spider Web: A trap that blinds and slows enemies caught in the blast.
