Composed by Emmy-nominated composer Pinar Toprak, the official soundtrack for Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will release on December 8. Get a taste of things to come with the “Behind the Music” segment for the game.
Ubisoft Music Supervisor Simon Landry is joined by Massive Entertainment’s Audio Director Alex Riviere to discuss how Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s 49-track-strong soundtrack came to life:
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – Behind The Music
Pinar Toprak had to say the following:
“My goal is to create a score that resonates with people’s hearts and minds, that will stay with them. It’s such a stunningly told, beautiful story, I want to make sure that the audience is engaged in that. The music has a part in that storytelling.”Pinar Toprak
Simon Landry added:
“Music direction wise, the goal was first and foremost to stay true to the foundations of James Horner’s original Avatar soundtrack and then expand on it. Pinar really understood the Avatar DNA and what makes the Avatar music so memorable and iconic.”Simon Landry
All those interested can pre-save or pre-order the soundtrack on their favorite channels via the official Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora portal.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to release next week, coming out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Amazon Luna. Those that subscribe to Ubisoft+ will also be able to play the Ultimate Edition Day 1; this is available on both the PC and Xbox through the Ubisoft Connect functionality.
