The Kastov 762 is a powerhouse in Warzone 2 and can drop foes at mid-range in an instant. Fans of the AK47 in previous Call of Duty games will feel right at home wielding this powerful Assault Rifle, but with so many Attachment choices, what should you pick? This is the best Kastov 762 Loadout in Warzone 2 as well as the best Attachments and Class setup.

There’s a lot to unpack here, so let me explain what this loadout does for the Kastov 762 and why these are the best Attachments and class setup.

The Attachments with this build are tailored to maximize long-range damage and reduce falloff. This makes the Kastov 762 feel very consistent, even at a distance. The weapon’s ADS speed suffers for the damage increase, but as long as your engagements stay firmly at mid/long range, this is rarely an issue. SMGs dominate Assault Rifles in close-range engagements. With this in mind, the weapon is built to lean on its strengths rather than trying to compete in the same environment.

The Optic is a personal preference, but I like the SZ Mini for its wide field of view. The SZ Mini is unlocked from the start for many other Assault Rifles, so it’s an Optic you can get used to regardless of what guns you use.

The Kastov 762 has a nasty kick that is hard to control without some practice. Spending valuable Attachments on reducing recoil makes the weapon weaker in other areas and mediocre overall. If high recoil is a sticking point, I recommend something like the M4 or Chimera instead.

Your Equipment choices aren’t as strict, but Smoke Grenades are incredibly strong in Al Mazrah, allowing you to disappear even when there’s no cover.

Are there any ‘flex’ slots on this build?

Any adjustments to the Muzzle, Barrel, and Underbarrel will negatively impact the superior damage range we’ve built for. You can go with any Optic you like; just be sure to select something you’re comfortable with for longer-range engagements.

If you’re going to change anything, you could remove the 40-Round magazine. I like the extra shots to finish off targets, but if you’re confident you can get the job done in 30, feel free to pick something else.

Finally, the Throwing Knife is absolutely optional. I’ve sworn by the Throwing Knife since Warzone 1, as it instantly kills downed foes. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing your hard-earned knocks get revived. This Lethal Equipment ensures they stay down. It’s satisfying to use, but if you prefer something more traditional like a Grenade or Molotov Cocktail, they are both strong options.

Perks are always interchangeable, as there are so many strong ones in Warzone 2. For this build, Overkill is necessary as you will need a reliable close-range secondary to complement your Kastov 762.

Is the Kastov 762 available from the start?

The Kastov 762 isn’t available immediately, but fortunately, it has no demanding unlock requirements. All you need to do is reach level 23, which can be done through standard gameplay. Many guns in Warzone 2 have nasty prerequisites if you don’t have access to Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer. Fortunately, that’s not the case here.
