What I love about Diablo 4 builds – which fits my historic playstyle very well – is the feel of facing the enemy hordes straight and taking care of things closely. Yeah, I don’t dig the ranged classes or builds. So when I found out that one of the best Sorcerer builds in the game attempts and succeeds to emulate what a Barbarian or even a Druid can, then I knew that the Arc Lash Sorcerer build was meant to be, and it is perfect for The Gauntlet. Now, you can also use the Ball Lightning Sorcerer build, but the idea of a Sorcerer focusing on melee damage made me completely biased and I’m not willing to apologize. Sorry.
With the use of the Arc Lash skill – which, surprise, is our main source of damage – you will get to deal damage and stun your enemies you can later destroy with your Ice Blades and Lightning Spear skills. Since you will face the best of the demonic army in The Gauntlet, you will need to pair your powerful skills with the best Sorcerer Uber Uniques: Godslayer Crown, Harlequin Crest, Melted Heart of Selig, or Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop, among others.
Arc Lash Sorcerer Gauntlet Build: Skill Bar
- Ice Blades: Conjure a pair of ice blades for 6.0 seconds that rapidly slash enemies for 22% damage and have a 40% chance to make them Vulnerable for 2 seconds.
- Unstable Currents: Lightning surges within you for 10 seconds. Whenever you cast a Shock Skill, a random Core, Conjuration, or Mastery Shock Skill is also cast.
- Flame Shield: Engulf yourself in flames for 2 seconds, Burning surrounding enemies for 40% damage per second. While Flame Shield is active, you are Immune.
- Teleport: Transform into lightning, becoming Unstoppable and surging to the target location, dealing 25% damage around you upon arrival.
- Arc Lash: Unleash arcing lightning that deals 42% damage to enemies in front of you. Every 10 times Arc Lash swipes, it Stuns all enemies hit for 2 seconds.
- Lightning Spear: Conjure a spear of lightning that seeks out enemies for 6.0 seconds, dealing 15% damage per hit. Critical Strikes apply Vulnerable for 3 seconds.
- Vyr’s Mastery: Close enemies take 15%[x] increased damage from your Shock Skills and deal 20% less damage to you. Critical Strikes increase these bonuses to 20%[x] and 25%[x] respectively for 3 seconds.
