Currently, Witchfire has seven weapons, some of which are better than others but all of which are good. After playing with them all for some time, I’ve found what the best weapons are and feel confident to rank them best to worst. So, without further adieu, here are the best weapons in Witchfire ranked in a tier list.

What is the best weapon in Witchfire?

We’ll save the best rings, amulets, fetishes, and light and heavy spells for another article; here, we discuss what the best weapon is in Witchfire. There are two close-range weapons, two medium-range weapons, two long-range weapons, and one demonic weapon.

In my opinion, Midas, the mid-ranged Assault Rifle is the best weapon in Witchfire. Midas has the best range, best rate of fire, best magazine size, and deals a lot of great damage. As you level it up, it’s heated and overheated features make Midas even better. It’s the most reliable and effective weapon in Witchfire.

Witchfire is still in early access which means more weapons are likely coming soon. Also, The Astronauts (the developers) are constantly tweaking the weapons to make sure they are all fun and balanced. When major updates take place, we will update this guide. For now, here are the best weapons in Witchfire.

S-tier Witchfire weapons

  • Midas – Assault Rifle
  • Vulture – Crossbow
  • Hailstorm– Sniper

The best weapon in Witchfire is Midas. It’s just an insanely good Assault Rifle that has high damage, a lot of bullets, and great range.

Vulture, the demonic weapon Crossbow, is the next best weapon, as it should be. Demonic weapons aren’t used nearly as much as primary weapons, but Vulture is in a great spot for being very good. It deals high damage and has extra damage projectiles that can do AoE after the initial hit.

Hailstorm is also an S-tier weapon in Witchfire. The biggest downside is there isn’t much ammo, but if you pair it with Midas which has a lot of ammo, you can use Hailstorm just for special occasions when you need to defeat an enemy or deal high damage to a boss.

  • Echo – Shotgun
  • Hunger – Hand Cannon

Echo is a really solid weapon in Witchfire, but it’s not S-tier because it’s situational. While I love using Echo when I want to play fast and close, the best strategies I’ve found to stay alive in Witchfire involve staying back, hiding behind cover, and playing smart. And with Echo, that’s hard to do since you’ll need to rush in to make it effective.

Hunger is the Hand Cannon you start out with and I absolutely love it because it’s what made me fall in love with Witchfire. It’s sturdy, dealing high damage and holding only six rounds. That said, I prefer Midas, Hailstorm, and even Echo over Hunger, but I’ll take it out from time to time to feel like a headshot king.

B-tier Witchfire weapons

  • All-Seeing Eye – Bolt Rifle
  • Cricket – SMG

While upgrading All-Seeing Eye makes it a powerful AoE weapon, getting kills to upgrade it is hard. The magazine could use a few more bullets and the damage fall off isn’t forgiving like it is on Hailstorm.

The worst weapon in Witchfire right now is Cricket. While I usually love SMGs and prefer playing up close and personal, Cricket just has too much damage drop-off. The magazine is also too shallow; in all instances, Midas does what Cricket does but much, much better.
