SMGs are known for their prowess at point-blank range, rewarding players who can close the distance on their opponents. The WSP Swarm is an ‘all or nothing’ weapon that shines in that playstyle. Here is the best WSP Swarm Build in MW3: Attachments, loadout, and perks.

Best WSP Swarm Attachments
The WSP Swarm has an absurd rate of fire and incredibly fast TTK. The downside is this SMG suffers from some of the worst recoil and kick in MW3. Our attachments soften the blow, but you’ll need to aim down to counter the recoil if you want to hit your targets.
- Optic: MK. 3 Reflector
- Barrel: WSP Reckless-90 Long Barrel
- Muzzle: Colossus Suppressor S
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Stock: FSS Fortress Heavy Stock
MK. 3 Reflector
There’s a strong case for using the WSP Swarm without an Optic, as it’s purely a close-range weapon. That said, the iron sights shake uncontrollably, and I find an Optic makes it more manageable.
If I’ve sold you on running an Optic, the MK. 3 Reflector is a superb choice with a simple, bright reticule. The picture is clear, and the Optic edges don’t get in the way.
WSP Reckless-90 Long Barrel
I usually steer clear of anything that negatively impacts ADS speed on an SMG, but it’s necessary on the WSP Swarm.Â
The WSP Reckless-90 Long Barrel does a lot of the heavy lifting in this build, making the gun more controllable and increasing Bullet Velocity. We take notable penalties to mobility stats, but it’s a worthwhile trade.
Colossus Suppressor S
The Colossus Suppressor S keeps us off the radar and boosts Recoil Control. We take another hit to ADS speed, but I still think it’s worth it. The Suppressor keeps us off the radar, which is a massive bonus for flanking.Â
If you want to avoid the ADS penalty, the Shadowstrike Suppressor S is a good option, but we lose the valuable Recoil Control in the process.
40 Round Mag
The WSP Swarm has several Magazine options, and the larger they are, the more our mobility suffers. I find the 40-round Mag works well, although there’s a case to be made for the 50-round Mag, too.
Thanks to the WSP Swarm’s incredible rate of fire, you’ll drain your magazine quickly, no matter what you pick. Ammo management is something you always have to keep in mind with this gun.
FSS Fortress Heavy Stock
The FSS Fortress Heavy Stock rounds off our effort to tame the recoil, offering massive bonuses to Gun Kick and Recoil Control.Â
Once again, we take a few mobility penalties in the process, but they are minor. The bonuses are worth it to make the WSP Swarm more controllable, and the stock is more impactful than an alternative Rear Grip or Underbarrel.
Best secondary, tactical, lethal, and field equipment for the WSP Swarm
- Secondary:Â COR-45
- Tactical:Â Stun Grenade X2
- Field Upgrade:Â Munitions Box
We use the Engineer Vest to deal with pesky enemy equipment and gain double Stuns for our troubles. As our ammo economy is a pain with the WSP Swarm, I recommend the Munitions Box in case you survive long enough to run out of bullets.
Best gloves, boots, gear, and vests for the WSP SwarmÂ
- Gloves:Â Commando Gloves
- Boots:Â Covert Sneakers
- Gear:Â Mission Control Comlink
- Gear:Â Ghost T/V Camo
- Vest:Â Engineer Vest
As we change magazines a lot, the Commando Gloves are a great choice as they improve reload speed. Covert Sneakers keep us silent when we’re dashing around the map, and the Ghost T/V Vamo keeps UAVs at bay.
I usually run the Bone Conduction Headset but don’t find it as useful with a hyper-mobile playstyle. The Mission Control Comlink lets us flood the skies with UAVs and is a great way to benefit the entire team.
