With the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came a huge weapon pool and a lot of customization options to make a class that suits your play style. As you unlock and level up weapons, you can also take on camo challenges and work towards getting your hands on those mastery camos. While some players may want to spend time trying out a bunch of different attachments, some want to find out what the best class is straight away. This guide has got you covered with the recommended attachments for the Kastov 762 in Modern Warfare 2.
You may recognize the Kastov 762 as the more commonly known AK-47. Its not the only classic weapon to make a return this year, as players can use the M4, as well as the VEL 46 and the MP7, among others. The Modern Warfare 2 gunsmith is different to what we saw in Call of Duty: Vanguard because you can now only pick up to five attachments, rather than 10. There’s still a lot of attachments to choose from in Modern Warfare 2, each with their own pros and cons. Although this can make it difficult to decide what to use on your gun, we’ll explore each attachment so you know exactly what you’re getting.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Kastov 762 class
- Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
- Barrel: IG-K30 406mm
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip.
- Receiver: Kastov 762
Lets break down all of the attachments used on this build. First up is the Sakin Tread-40 muzzle to kick off your class with a boost to your horizontal and vertical recoil control. When selecting a barrel, the IG-K30 406mm will continue to make the Kastov 762 class a strong contender at range with more bullet velocity and recoil control.
Next, the FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel continues to focus on accuracy with increased aiming idle stability, recoil stabilization, and hip fire accuracy. Then, the True-Tac Grip will make up for some lost sprint to fire speed and aim down sight speed. This Kastov 762 class only uses four out of five attachment slots, so you can always add an optic such as the reliable Cronen Mini Red Dot. However, this option does further slow down your aim down sight speed which is already slow on the majority of the Modern Warfare 2 assault rifles.
Weapon tuning your Kastov 762 is on hold
For more detailed customization options, Modern Warfare 2 introduced fans to weapon tuning, but only briefly. At the time of writing, Infinity Ward has disabled weapon tuning until further notice due to an issue related to crashes. To get ready for when it returns, you can always familiarize yourself with how weapon tuning works.
When you’re selecting a secondary weapon to accompany your assault rifle, a pistol is a handy back up to have in your pocket. If you spot an enemy up ahead but you run out of bullets in your clip, swapping to your pistol is faster than going through the Kastov 762’s reload animation. Early on in the game, the X12 is the pistol proving to be dominant in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.
