The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, like Breath of the Wild before it, features one of Link’s oldest enemies: the Moblin. You can defeat them and scavenge their guts for hero purposes down the road. Here is our guide on how to farm Moblin Guts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – how to farm Moblin Guts

Besides looking and smelling pretty, Moblin Guts serve multiple purposes in the game. You can use them when cooking elixirs, or turn them in for a reward at the Fang and Bone.

To farm Moblin Guts, you must kill as many Blue Moblins as possible. They sometimes lose their guts when defeated, but the regular red ones don’t seem to. Knowing that, you should try to pick a fight with a Blue Moblin whenever it’s convenient. I recommend bringing along healing items and strong armor.

Blue Moblins are sturdy enemies that can put up a fight, especially if you have weak weapons with limited range. I like to use a long wooden pole with some rock or a horn attached so I can more easily attack from a moderate distance. Moblins are typically joined by a few Bokoblin allies. Sometimes, you can take out a Moblin and its friends with an explosive blast to shorten the fight, if there is a powder keg nearby to target with a flaming arrow.Although you’ll find Blue Moblins sprinkled about Hyrule (never in large numbers), they seem to be most common in the Deep Akkala, Death Mountain, and Eldin Canyon regions in the north.

To find the Moblins in Eldin Canyon and Death Mountain, head north along the main road leading to Goron City from areas to the south. There are a handful of Blue Moblins in these regions, usually camped out near some objects they can throw. At night, look for campfires to find them easily. Take advantage of any environmental assists you find while fighting. If you have an elixir that improves your defense, consider using it.

Check the map above to get an idea where to find an initial enemy camp. From there, continue north and work your way around Death Mountain’s north side at lower elevations to find more of them.

To find the Moblins in Deep Akkala, continue around Death Mountain’s summit but then veer east and north. You should find a few enemy camps in the vicinity of Kimayat Shrine, which is a terrific fast travel destination once you activate it. An enemy encampment directly to the south of the shrine (see the screenshot above for its precise location) is right next to some healing hot springs, so you can recover after battling the Moblin.
