The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings back a lot of cool elements from Breath of the Wild but gives them a new twist. You’ll find many familiar locations and characters, including a certain clan of warriors who hate Link. This guide tells you how to find and infiltrate the Yiga Clan Hideout in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom – how to find and infiltrate Yiga Clan Hideout
Members of the Yiga clan still have a thing for Mighty Bananas and they still hate Link, just as they did in Breath of the Wild. Now they spend a lot of time exploring the Depths, disguised as researchers. Their main hideout hasn’t relocated, however. You can find it pretty early in the game. Actually entering may be another matter.
To find and infiltrate the Yiga Clan Hideout, you need to acquire the Yiga Clan armor set. It consists of the Yiga Mask, Yiga Armor, and Yiga Tights. The set improves your Stealth rating when worn, but that’s not why you need it.
To acquire the Yiga Clan armor set’s various pieces, you’ll have to travel all over Hyrule. Eventually, you’ll find smaller bases in a forest shack near the southern edge of the Great Plateau, in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab near the far northeast corner of the map, and in the Yiga Clan Maritta Branch (in Aldor Foothills). Rescue tailors at each location and they’ll hand over whichever piece of the set they had been producing.
Once you have the set, keep it at the ready. I suggest powering it up a bit by visiting a Great Fairy, since it’s nice to have effective gear before you visit the hideout. When you’re ready, fast travel to the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. Use the Ascend ability to rise through the ceiling a few steps forward from where you materialize (make sure you have good Cold Resistance). Next, walk straight forward to the edge of the snow-covered ledge. You’ll find yourself overlooking a gaping hole.
Jump forward from the ledge and paraglide out and to the left, past the opening. Descend into the canyon in that direction and follow the descending path to reach the back hideout’s back. When you first arrive, Mimos will be ahead of you with hopes of gaining entry. The guard at the door sends him away because he’s not dressed appropriately.
Before you try the door yourself, equip the complete Yiga Clan armor set. Then check at the door and you’ll be permitted to enter the hideout. The Infiltrating the Yiga Clan side quest is marked complete.
