Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom includes a whole new storyline to follow about the lost tribe of Yaesha and an ancient stone called Lydusa. It’s up to you to stop Lydusa’s vengeful wrath in this dark and thrilling DLC.
After beating The Forgotten Kingdom, you may want to dive in again for another run to find more secrets and hidden items. You also may want to get the alternate ending to The Forgotten Kingdom. Read further to learn how.
Remnant 2: How to get the alternate ending in The Forgotten Kingdom
Players can get the alternate ending in Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom by bringing the Cherished Fracture quest item to the bowl in Goddess’s Rest. The Cherished Fracture is on the main quest path and is impossible to miss.
Interacting with the bowl and selecting the Cherished Fracture will summon Lydusa, but you’ll notice something different about her. She is actually incredibly pleasant and happy this time around.
Simply put, this is what I would consider the “good” ending to The Forgotten Kingdom. Lydusa will talk about her “darling Thalos” as she recalls good memories of her past. This is very different than the other ending, where Lydusa is nothing but vengeful and challenges you to one of the most brutal boss fights in the entire game.
After completing the short cutscene with Lydusa, she will reward you with the Blossoming Core crafting material. The Blossoming Core can be used to craft the brand-new Mirage melee weapon, which has a base damage of 56 and comes equipped with the Cyclone weapon mod.
Which ending should you choose in The Forgotten Kingdom?
The better ending depends on what you’re trying to get out of the DLC. If you want a happy conclusion, then placing the Cherished Fracture in the bowl in Goddess’s Rest for the alternate ending is the better option. On the other hand, if you want to face off against a challenging boss, then you’ll want to bring the Cherished Fracture to Lydusa in the Bloodless Throne for the normal ending.
It also depends on which weapon you want to craft. The alternate ending rewards you with the Blossoming Core for Mirage, while the standard ending rewards you with the Eye of Ledusa for Monolith. The former is a melee weapon, while the latter is a long gun.
