How to get the Noblestalk in Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 has a bunch of optional content for you to complete, with a lot of it being worthwhile to do so. Some quests can give you new loot, armor, or weapons, and some can even give you some nice character moments that develop them in nice ways. The Find the Mushroom Picker quest is one such quest, which along the way, gives you the opportunity to claim an item you can give to multiple people, including Shadowheart to help develop her character a little. How to get the Noblestalk in Baldur’s Gate 3

The first step to getting the Noblestalk in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to head to the Underdark, there you can find the location you can see on the map below. Here, you will find a bunch of mushrooms that spawn Poisonous Clouds when they’re destroyed, and there’s a lit torch nearby meaning they will explode if damaged or if you go too close. Luckily there’s a person here stuck in the middle of them to explain all this to you.

Once you get there and talk to him, if you have a scroll of Misty Step, the quest to free him can end right here for you, as you can simply give him the Misty Step scroll and he will escape. But stopping the mushrooms from exploding by putting out the torch is something we need to do to preserve the Noblestalk that’s in this area, having the poisonous clouds explode means the Noblestalk will disappear. So, the first thing you’re going to want to do is find some water, then jump up to the left of the field of mushrooms, like in the image below, and then either cast Create Water or simply throw a water bottle at the lit torch to put out its flame.

After you’ve extinguished the torch, if you haven’t already saved the man inside the mushroom field, you can now jump down and loot his bag, which contains a scroll of Misty Step, just toss that to him and he will escape. Upon completion of that, you can claim yourself a Noblestalk in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Getting the Noblestalk

To get the Noblestalk, you’re going to need to destroy all of these mushrooms from range with a bow. After a while the clouds will disappear, and you should find some Noblestalk in the top right of this area.

Once you have the Noblestalk, you can do a couple things with it. You can give it to Shadowheart for a small development in her questline, which is what I have personally done, or you can give it to either Baelen or Derryth Bonecloak.
