Remnant 2 is a difficult game, with its boss fights and even regular encounters being able to knock you down in just a few hits. You can circumvent this by trying out new weapons, upgrading your weapons, or simply just not going there for a while to come back way later and absolutely destroy that enemy. One thing you might not be noticing that may be making the game more difficult is your amount of Dragon Hearts, which are what you use to heal yourself. You start off with a pretty low number, and the more you have, the longer you can last in fights. Here’s our guide on how to increase Dragon Heart capacity in Remnant 2.

How to increase Dragon Heart capacity in Remnant 2

The first step to increasing your Dragon Heart capacity in Remnant 2 is to know where to do so. To be able to do this, you’re going to want to head to Wallace in the docks of Ward 13. You can find this location in the map below, but if you want a written location you can find him past the Mutator Merchant and then up the stairs in the metallic structure in the docks behind the merchant.

Once you find Wallace, you’re going to be able to upgrade your Dragon Heart capacity for a price. This price is 1,000 Scrap, 10 Lumenite Crystals, and a Simulacrum. We have guides on finding some of those materials if you would like to know where to get them. Once you do this, you can increase your Dragon Heart capacity with no issue. You can’t do this incredibly often due to the Simulacrum requirement, but as you progress through the game you should find some Simulacrum for you to upgrade your capacity with. This upgrade increases capacity for all Relics that use that slot, which luckily for us includes Dragon Hearts.

Using the Tear of Kaeula

There is also another way to increase Dragon Heart capacity, which lies in certain items you can get. You can find a ring named the Tear of Kaeula that allows you to carry two more Relics, which includes Dragon Hearts. Meaning if you find this specific ring, you’ll be able to carry more Dragon Hearts on top of the ones you acquire through upgrading your capacity through Wallace. I personally have eight Dragon Hearts, having only upgraded my capacity with Wallace a couple of times. Granted, this isn’t exactly a permanent way of upgrading your capacity, but it does help dramatically, especially if you have a ring slot free. I happened to find this ring during the main story quest in Yaesha, but with the nature of Remnant 2 being very different from each other, this could be different for you.

Remnant 2 is available for purchase on Steam.
