Is Diablo 4 Steam Deck compatible? Playing Diablo 4 on your Steam Deck seems like a heavenly idea, but there are a few catches you should be aware of. It’s not all doom and gloom, though, and we’re here to save you from any hellish handheld hiccups.
As the Diablo 4 system requirements highlight, you’ll need to clear a fair amount of storage to contain the world of Sanctuary and more on your device. As such, it’d be wise to equip yourself with the best microSD card for Steam Deck you can, especially if you have the 64GB model. Is Diablo 4 Steam Deck compatible?
Yes, Diablo 4 is Steam Deck compatible, but you won’t be able to download the RPG from Valve’s storefront. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’ll be appearing there anytime soon, either, as has been the case with previous Blizzard releases. For now, Diablo 4 Steam is a no-go.
Instead, you’ll need to install Battle.net on Steam Deck, and then add the game to your Steam library. Ultimately, the workaround will expand your portable Steam library to include the likes of World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, and other Blizzard games, so it’s worth taking the time to implement.
As for Diablo 4 Steam Deck performance, the RPG runs relatively smoothly on the portable, but you’ll naturally need to crank down settings.
An important thing to bear in mind is that Diablo 4 requires an internet connection at all times. So, if you’re planning on taking on the hordes of hell on the go, make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection or hotspot handy.
