Deadly Omens introduces Deimos to Rainbow Six Siege, an operator bent on taking down Rainbow. Although his kick-ass intro cinematic tells you all you need to know about him as a person, let me tell you all you need to know about him as an operator.
Deimos Release Date for Rainbow Six Siege
Deimos is in Rainbow Six Siege, but you’ll notice you can’t buy him, and instead of his price is a prompt to buy the Premium Battle Pass. This is because Deimos is in the game, but isn’t yet properly available. In other words, he’s currently in early access. Only those who have bought the Premium Pass can get instant early access to this operator.
His official release for all the player base is stated to be 27 days from the release of the update, which lands on the 9th of April when you also count the hours. So if you don’t want to purchase the Premium Battle Pass to unlock him now, you’ll have to wait nearly a month to get your hands on him.
Despite not being fully available, expect to see a Deimos in every single damn game as those who have bought the pass will want to get their money’s worth out of him.
Deimos Price in Rainbow Six Siege
For those planning ahead, you may want to know how much Deimos is going to cost when he does come out of Early Access. There isn’t an official price listed, but we can expect him to be priced at 25,000 Renown or 600 R6 Credits, if we are to follow the pattern.
Buying 600 R6 Credits will set you back by $4.99. Although, dedicated fans of the game should be able to save up enough Renown to buy Deimos when he comes out of Early Access.
This makes him one of the few most expensive operators in the game, so if you’re still in the process of unlocking all the operators, you may want to think twice before spending the expense.
Deimos loadout in Rainbow Six Siege
Deimos doesn’t have the most varied loadout, but the weapons he has definitely make up for that, which you can see below.
His primary weapons consist of the AK-74M, a very mobile assault rifle that was previously unique to Nomad. He also has the choice of the M590A1 shotgun, a fairly common yet powerful shotgun that you’re likely familiar with.
The shining jewel of his arsenal is his secondary, however, the .44 Vendetta revolver. This weapon is unique to him, which you can probably tell from its name alone that reflects his story against Team Rainbow. It is exceptionally powerful with very little recoil, allowing you to beam down enemy operatives.
It only holds six bullets at a time, however, so you must be methodical and accurate with your shots. The scope atop the revolver helps with this, however.
He can also enter the action with two Frag Grenades and two Hard Breach Charges.
The DeathMARK Deimos Gadget in Rainbow Six Siege
The DeathMARK gadget is an interesting item that allows Deimos to square off against an operator of his choice.
Like Lesion’s gadget, Deimos will slowly acquire more DeathMARK charges over time. Upon activation, he will get to choose a defender. Both that defender and Deimos will be aware of each other, through 3D pings. Both parties won’t receive the same information, though.
Deimos will have a live reading of the room and precise information of the defender’s whereabouts, whereas the defender will have a delayed ping of Deimos’ whereabouts.
It’s worth noting that Deimos will be limited to his secondary, the .44 Vendetta whilst the gadget is active. It can be deactivated at any time, however. The DeathMARK will last for around 30 seconds.
And there you have it; everything to know about Deimos in Rainbow Six Siege. I hope to see you out there (although preferably not as Deimos, please).
