Inspired by legends such as Lords of Thunder, Elemental Master, and Thunder Force 3 & 4, Mega Cat Studios has announced their pixel fever dream shmup ZPF for the SEGA Genesis/SEGA Mega Drive.

In this shmup, players will set out to dodge, shoot, and collect power-ups as they take on hordes of enemies and colossal bosses.

To add to the experience, ZPF features a late 90’s arcade flair with a risk/reward “cash in” mechanic that adds strategy to the title. Players will also be able to get the edge with power-ups and upgrades, all paying host to story elements and character interactions.

For the skilled players among us, hidden treasures and unlockables galore also await in ZPF.
