If you’re ready to head 20,000 leagues under the sea, you’re probably primed to admire this Steampunk gaming PC build. This PC captures the vibes of the Jules Verne classic, matching an Intel CPU and Nvidia gaming GPU with a cleverly customized Lian Li PC case given a spectacular gold-and-black finish.

This build looks as good as any of the best gaming PCs out there, with specs that can certainly keep up with modern gaming. An Intel Core i9-14700K gaming CPU is a 20-core beast with eight P-Cores, giving gamers an important performance boost, while an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 is still more than capable of handling 4K resolutions.

That said, it’s important to look at this gaming PC from an aesthetic perspective first. Cole Evans, who shared this build on builds.gg, has built an entire room around the Steampunk theme, with this gaming PC at the centre. The Lian Li PC-O6SX case has been modified with trinkets, such as brass-colored corner covers and screws, along with a model of Verne’s fictional Nautilus submarine to sit on top.

Inside the build itself, Evans has used solid brass tubing for his water cooling loop, covering his radiator fans in a custom gold fan cover. The EVGA SuperNova G3 850W PSU has seen a dramatic redesign to its casing, as well, with an intricate pattern surrounding the fan, and even two small octopus legs shooting out.

Gorgeous as the build itself is, the rest of the specs keep it effective as a top-tier gaming rig. There’s 64GB of G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 gaming RAM in place, along with two Samsung NVMe M.2 SSDs, with a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro and 500GB Samsung 980 providing plenty of storage for a decent modern gaming collection.

Finishing the build off, Evans has added several Steampunk-themed peripherals, including a keyboard, as well as covering the Alienware AW3423DW curved gaming monitor in its own antique frame. All in all, this is a beautiful and inspiring gaming PC for someone with a clear love for the retro-futurism that Verne and Wells portrayed in their novels, proving that you can break away from a more conventional design and craft a PC that truly reflects your own unique interests.
