I’ve always loved Halo – it’s pretty much the only reason I bought an original Xbox. That’s why I stopped in my tracks when I spotted this Halo gaming PC build. Thanks to a green Thermaltake case and some bold, orange-colored piping, this builder has managed to create a stunning rig here, perfect for a budding young Spartan that’s looking for battle.
The specs on this build aren’t too bad, either, with a mix of AMD and Intel components, along with plenty of Thermaltake water cooling kit to match the case. This gaming PC demonstrates exactly why I love building my own systems, with its unique style being one that you simply can’t get from the best gaming PC pre-builds out there.
Let’s look at what caught my eye in the original Builds.gg post in the first place: the case. The Thermaltake Tower 600 PC case is a stylish choice for this build, with an octagonal shape that makes it standout from regular rectangular builds. Despite looking quite compact, though, it still has space for a full-size ATX motherboard.
The matcha green colorway is the perfect color for the Halo theme, with the builder using Thermaltake CT120 RGB fans and custom ribbon cabling, along with that bright orange tubing and dark-green water cooling fluid, to add something extra. Builder, Toru, also 3D-printed some additional fan covers with a 117 label, a nod to John-117 (or Master Chief, as he’s better known).
Inside this PC, there’s a 14-core Intel Core i5 13600K gaming CPU installed in a MSI MPG Edge Z790 motherboard, with the mini-ITX board giving the builder plenty of space inside the case for a Powercolor-branded AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT with 24GB VRAM. There’s a 1200W Thermaltake Toughpower PF3 power supply, too, leaving plenty of juice for these specs, along with 32GB of TeamGroup T-Force Delta DDR5 gaming RAM.
To finish the build off, Toru uses a Thermaltake stand specifically designed to hold this case in a tipped-back, sideways orientation. They’ve even customized the tiny LCD panel at the bottom to show off a Halo logo.
While there’s some RGB in this build, it isn’t the focus, and I like that about this gaming PC. The colors are definitively Halo, and the use of the smaller mini-ITX motherboard, along with those dramatic orange tubes, leaves a lasting impression. This is a build done right, focusing your attention on the right places, with more than enough power to battle against Brutes for hours on end.
