The holidays might be over, but it’s still snowy season, and there’s a lot to admire about this white gaming PC build which has a distinct Narnia twist. An ode to the famous Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis, this gaming rig transports you to a whole new world, with the PC components cleverly disguised by the delightful snow-covered case interior.

This is one beautiful AMD-powered build with a stand out look that would certainly battle with the best gaming PCs on aesthetics, even if this particular gaming rig hasn’t been built with the best specs in mind. The builder has completely upended the Okinos Aqua 3 PC case it’s based on, with extras including added icicles, trees, and even a house, all carefully painted to create the snow-like effect inside.

This interesting PC caught my eye in a Reddit post in the r/pcmasterrace subreddit, thanks to a submission by clonetrooper5385. Built with his mom in mind as a present for Christmas, and thanks to some painting help from their sister, every part of this particular build has been designed with the Narnia theme in mind.

The Redditor has used extra add-ons filling the usually-bare bottom area of the PC case to set the scene, setting foot into Narnia for the first time outside of the wardrobe into the snow-covered landscape. These add-ons aren’t just for show, however.

The snow-covered lamp post, for instance, has an LED that acts as the power LED, while the Narnia wardrobe and Mr. Tumnus’ house each have their own lights, controlled using an RGB header on the motherboard. My favorite view of this build is from the front, with the snow-covered trees and house at the bottom, the icicles popping out from the top, and the CPU cooler lit up in the middle.

The PC itself has been crafted to compliment the Narnia setting, too, thanks to its use of all-white components. It’s powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G – a six-core Zen 3 CPU – and uses an white AM4 Asrock B550 mATX motherboard. It’s also equipped with 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, a 600W Thermaltake power supply with matching white cable extensions, BeQuiet case fans, and a Samsung 990 Evo 1TB NVMe SSD for storage.

A graphics card is one noticeable omission, however. Instead, this system relies on the integrated Vega 7 graphics in the Ryzen CPU. It isn’t much to write home about these days, but it’ll still handle older or less resource-hungry games at 1080p on low settings, although more resource-heavy modern games will be more of a struggle. According to clonetrooper5385, however, his mom isn’t much of a gamer, so this doesn’t seem to be a problem here.

Ultimately, the beauty of this PC is in its design. If you loved the Narnia books as much as I did as a child, then this build offers a huge dose of nostalgia. It’s also a testament to what you can do with modern so-called fishbowl-style PC case with double windows. With such a great view inside, you basically have a diorama case ready to display your creative PC interior.
