Many players are bummed out by this, as it fills up a spot that could otherwise be used for game-defining operating systems, such as Sandevistans or quickhacks. Generally, players believe that this operating system shouldn’t have taken up another cyberware slot, as it’s difficult to justify sacrificing such abilities for a measly increase in cyberware capacity.

Where to get the Chrome Compressor in Cyberpunk 2077
If you really want the Chrome Compressor in Cyberpunk 2077, then there are a couple of ways to obtain it.
Firstly, you can buy them from any ripperdoc in Dogtown. They won’t be the cheapest, but it shouldn’t be difficult for you to get your hands on one.
Alternatively, you can find them in the mysterious Air Drops that you can find in Dogtown.

Is the Chrome Compressor worth it?
The general consensus is no, the Chrome Compressor is not worth its cost in Cyberpunk 2077.
If you desperately want the increase in cyberware capacity, then hit up your perk trees. There are perks that not only allow you to increase your maximum cyberware capacity, but also ones that allow you to break past it, making it a barrier no longer.
If you’ve managed to get your hands on one in the early game, and perk and attribute points are sparse, there may be a case for its use. However, you’d get more practical utility out of being able to quickhack or go berserk than you would with any extra chrome you can wear.
Just do some gigs, level up, and you won’t be worrying about cyberware capacity.
