The elemental dragons were one of the most mysterious aspects of Breath of the Wild, with them simply roaming the sky seemingly forever. You needed to get some items from them to upgrade your equipment in the original game too. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom also features the elemental dragons, with their items being needed for upgrades once again. With the expansion of the world of Hyrule in this sequel, it can be a lot harder to find the elemental dragon that you’re after, with each one having a dedicated area that they roam. Here’s our guide on how to find Farosh in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to find Farosh in Tears of the Kingdom

Farosh is pretty easy to find once you know where he roams in Tears of the Kingdom. Farosh’s roaming location is in the south-west of the map, near the Gerudo Desert.

Farosh starts at the red pin, then circles around roughly the blue, then yellow pin locations until the elemental dragon eventually reaches where the green pin is. Screenshot by PC Invasion

You can find Farosh relatively easily whilst down there. Farosh roams the skies above in the area just to the north-east of the desert itself. You can see the location on the map above for the rough location of where he circles above ground. Farosh in particular appears out of the East Gerudo Chasm, and goes into the Depths via the Hills of Baumer Chasm, just east of Hylia Lake. This is where his route goes, it circles up and around the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower then proceeds to the right until he reaches the Hills of Baumer Chasm.

Finding Farosh underground

If you can’t find Farosh on the surface, it’s likely that he’s underground. Farosh, like some of the other elemental dragons, appears underground via going through the world’s chasms. Farosh’s path underground is as simple to follow as the above ground route. Farosh enters through the Hills of Baumer Chasm, and works around to the East Gerudo Chasm. Getting to Farosh, and the other dragons in the underground of Tears of the Kingdom, is a much harder task than when they’re in the skies above Hyrule. Even if you find one of the dragons, like Farosh, in the vast underground of Tears of the Kingdom, it’s quite hard to get up to them from the underground unless you build yourself a flying device. It’s also relatively dark in the underground, if you haven’t lit up the area, which can hinder your chances at reaching Farosh.

My advice would be to use the Skyview Towers to your advantage, and maybe wait on a sky island above around where Farosh is going to come, so you can dive onto the dragon and get whatever you need.

Hopefully with these tips you should be able to find Farosh pretty easily in Tears of the Kingdom.
