Once you’ve given all the Default Loadouts a go, you may notice how powerful the Striker SMG is. The Combat Controller Loadout lets players let rip with a deadly Striker build, but once you’ve unlocked your own, you can make it even better. The Striker struggles at long ranges, but it’s a monster just about everywhere else. Here’s the best Striker build in the MW3 beta: Attachments, loadout, and perks.

Best Striker SMG Attachments in MW3

Image: PC Invasion
  • Optic: Personal Preference
  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor
  • Stock: Lachmann MK2 Light Stock
  • Rear Grip: FTAC G-5 Exo
  • Magazine: 60 Round Drum

I struggle with the Striker without a sight, and any optic will improve the potential of this weapon massively. Use anything you have available, as even the default is better than iron sights.

I love Suppressors as they keep me off the radar while shooting. The downside to this attachment is penalties to Recoil Control and Bullet Velocity. These would be an issue on a long-range weapon, but not so much up close.

The Lachmann MK2 Light Stock gives us movement speed buffs, complimenting the SMG playstyle perfectly. Just like with the Suppressor, the downsides don’t bother us.

The Rear Grip gives Flinch Resistance and Aim Stability. I don’t care about Flinch Resistance in MW2, as fights are over so fast. In MW3, players have more health, and battles are more prolonged. Flinch Resistance feels great on the Striker, especially if you need a few extra shots to kill.

Finally, the golden goose of this build is the 60 Round Drum. The Striker is a bullet hose, and the extended magazine means you won’t have to worry about reloading as often. Less reloads means you can engage multiple opponents and don’t have to worry about accuracy as much.

Best secondary, tactical, lethal, and field equipment for Striker SMG build

  • Secondary: Renetti
  • Tactical: Battle Rage
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Munitions Box

If you don’t mind burst weapons, the Renetti deletes players and is perfect for finishing opponents off if your Striker runs out of bullets. Battle Rage sees constant balance tweaks, but anything that keeps you alive longer in battle is a win, in my book.

I’ve had great luck with the Frag Grenade in MW3, and it racks up kills if you cook before throwing. Finally, the Munitions Box can come in clutch as the Striker munches through your ammo reserves.

Best gloves, boots, gear, and vest for Striker SMG build

  • Gloves: Quick-Grip Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Bone Conduction Headset
  • Vest: Infantry Vest

To finish the build, Quick-Grip Gloves give you faster swap speed if you need to switch to your Renetti. Covert Sneakers and the Bone Conduction Headset combine to make the perfect storm of audio perks. You don’t make a sound with the Sneakers, and the Headset counters other players wearing the same footwear.

The Vest is a personal preference, but on a mobile SMG build, you can’t go wrong with increased Tac Sprint duration.
