Here’s a PSA for all Baldur’s Gate 3 players, don’t forget to use the Divine Intervention ability. Clerics like Shadowheart have this power at level 10, but it can only be used once in the entire game.

Because it’s such a precious ability, many players like myself have completely forgotten to use it during crucial moments. One post on the BG3 subreddit started a conversation about forgetting to use this powerful spell.

Most Baldur’s Gate 3 players forget to use Divine Intervention

In a trending post on the BG3 subreddit, one user asked if anyone else completely forgot to use Shadowheart’s Divine Intervention ability. It seems like most players did because the post now has over 4,000 upvotes. I even forgot, and I finished the game already!

Once Shadowheart, or any Cleric, gets to level 10, you unlock Divine Intervention. This is a one-time-use action that gives you four different options to choose from:

  • Sunder the Heretical: Deals 8d10 Radiant damage to all enemies within a 15m radius. If they succeed on the WIS save, they take half damage.
  • Opulent Revival: Revives allies with half their HP and restores allies as if they’ve had a Long Rest within an 18m radius.
  • Arm Thy Servant: Summons a Legendary mace in their inventory (Devotee’s Mace).
  • Golden Generosity: Summons a chest on the ground containing Camp Supplies, Superior/Supreme Healing potions, and a few other elixirs.

This Reddit poster explained how they were so excited to use Divine Intervention at the right moment, but they suddenly realized after they completed the final battle that they never ended up using it. This is the perfect ability to keep for the last fight, and yet most players forgot it even existed.

Many players related, saying that they also forgot about special potions and scrolls they had deep within their inventory. Although some replies noted that you could save it for the House of Grief or House of Hope fights, it seems best to be used in the final fight.

Opulent Revival can revive the dead and heal the living, all while restoring them to a Long Rest, which sounds like the best option. Sunder the Heretical is good if you’re nearly about to die but need one last big attack to end it all.

Overall, this is a PSA for all Baldur’s Gate 3 players, just don’t forget to use Divine Intervention. It’s a lifesaver of ability and is easy to forget about if you aren’t careful. Speaking of PSAs, you should also make sure to release the pixie in the Moonlantern.
