Godslayer Incantations locations in Elden Ring: Guide

In many ways, Elden Ring represents the culmination of the action RPG formula that FromSoftware has been creating since Demon’s Souls. It offers players an incredible amount of freedom in how they shape their character. That might be through their stats, weapons, and tactics. Incantations are new to Elden Ring and act as unique magic attacks with damaging effects. Unlike regular spells that require players to have higher Intelligence or Focus Points, Incantations require Faith or Arcane, as well as an equipped seal to use the move. Godslayer Incantations in Elden Ring emit dark fire-based attacks. They also require players to have the Godslayer’s Scared Seal equipped to use them. Black Flame

Black Flame requires 20 Faith and will cost 18 FP to use in battle. When used, Black Flame hurls a ball of black fire that deals damage and cuts away a percentage of the enemy’s health bar. This makes it particularly useful for stronger enemies like bosses. It can be obtained by giving the Godskin prayer book to Miriel, Pastor of Vows. This NPC can be found near the Liftside Chamber site of grace. It can also be directly purchased for 7,500 Runes from Brother Corhyn, one of many NPCs who can be found at the Roundtable Hold.

Scouring Black Flame

The next Godslayer Incantation is Scouring Black Flame. This has a hefty 28 Faith requirement and will take 27 FP to use in practice. Instead of throwing a ball of flame, Scouring Black Flame covers the area in front of you in black fire. It can also be charged to increase its range. Scouring Black Flame can be acquired by killing a Godskin Apostle in locations like the Atlus Plateau, Windmill Village, and Dominula.

Black Flame Ritual

Black Flame Ritual requires 42 Faith to use and costs 36 FP in battle. When used, it will create pillars of black flame around you and the range of these pillars can be increased by charging the attack beforehand. It can be taken from the Godskin Nobel Dual or by killing Godskin Apostles native to the Spiritcaller’s Cave in the snowy Mountaintops of the Giants region.

Black Flame Blade

Black Flame Blade lowers the requirement to 17 Faith and costs only 15 FP to use. It acts as a buff that covers your right-hand weapon in black flames. Any enemy hit with your buffed weapon will also suffer a life-draining effect for a short while after being damaged. Much like the Black Flame, Black Flame Blade can be acquired from Miriel, Pastor of Vows, or from Brother Corhyn for a cost of 6,000 Runes.

Black Flame’s Protection

Finally, Black Flame’s Protection requires 30 Faith and costs 30 FP to make use of. Using the incantation will increase your physical damage negation, but at the cost of making healing unavailable for a time. Finding the Black Flame’s Protection involves progressing Gideon Ofnir’s Miquella’s Haligtree quest. You can then speak to him about a “secret medallion” at the Roundtable Hold to receive it.
