Upon completing the main story of the Teal Mask DLC, the Loyal Three Titan Pokémon are back to normal to be caught proper. Okidogi, the dog of the group, hasn’t left its last location. Time to circle back and catch the disagreeable dog to fill out our Pokédex. Here’s how to find and catch Okidogi in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC.

Okidogi is the easiest to get to of the Loyal/Lousy Three. It didn’t move from its Titan location, so all you have to do is fly to Paradise Barrens and go north, avoiding all the other Pokémon nearby, and it’ll be standing there.

You cannot throw a Poké Ball to surprise it, you have to run up and talk to it to start the battle.

Note that Okidogi is 100% male. You cannot get a female one, so you can’t soft reset for a female Okidogi.

Okidogi battle breakdown

Okidogi is level 70 with an entirely offensive moveset:

  • Superpower: Fighting, 120 power (180 due to STAB). Lowers Attack and Defense one stage per use.
  • Crunch: Dark, 80 power. 20% chance to lower Defense by one stage.
  • Poison Jab: Poison, 80 power (120 due to STAB). 30% chance to poison.
  • Brutal Swing: Dark, 60 power.

Pair with this the trio’s unique ability, Toxic Chain, giving Okidogi a 30% chance of badly poisoning your Pokémon when it hits. Overall, Okidogi’s not that bad to deal with if you’ve Pokémon able to take hits. The biggest things to note are Crunch’s Defense drop, which can be fixed with a switch-out, and Superpower’s lowering of the Defense. This needs to be factored in when you’re whittling down its HP.

Fittingly, Okidogi is resisted best by the other Pokémon that shares its typing: Toxicroak. Toxicroak doesn’t have the best Defense stat out there, but Okidogi will keep lowering its Attack with Superpower anyhow. Failing this, most defensive Poison types can wall it just fine.

Okidogi is Fighting/Poison. It is especially weak to Psychic, but also weak to Flying and Ground. It resists Fighting, Poison, Rock, Grass, and Dark, but especially Bug.

Okidogi’s catch rate is 1.6%, but it’s likely been adjusted to be higher for this encounter. Still, be prepared for it to eat up balls.

Once you have it caught, you now have the big dog with a body count! Time to move on to the remaining Loyals or celebrate your Pokédex filling up.
