This year’s Guardian Games features a Twitch element that allows you to earn a Diamond Medallion simply by watching relevant streamers. However, for some, the Twitch drops do not work when watching the Destiny 2 streams. Here is how to fix it.

Ensure your Twitch and Bungie profiles are linked

The main issue that arises with claiming Twitch Drops is not having your Destiny 2 account properly linked to your account. Follow these steps to link your two accounts together.

  • Visit Bungie.net and log into your account.
  • Head down to your settings by selecting your picture in the top right of the screen.
  • Find the Account Linking menu and select Link Accounts next to Twitch.
  • Log into your Twitch account, and your accounts will be linked, allowing you to earn your Twitch Drops.

Redeem your Twitch Drop in Bungie.net

Log into your profile in Bungie.net and locate your profile picture at the top right of the screen. Click on it and head down to the Redeem Codes section. In the next screen, you will see the Partner Rewards option. This will display all the Twitch Drops you have achieved. You may have to refresh this page with the Refresh button to have your Twitch Drop appear. If there are a lot of people claiming the Destiny 2 Twitch Drops at the same time, you may need to be patient for it to start working.

Ensure you are watching an eligible Destiny 2 Twitch Drops streamer

Not all streamers are enabled for Twitch Drops in Destiny 2, so make sure you are watching the correct ones to ensure it is working. Most of them will have the word Drops in their stream name. However, this isn’t always trustworthy. When you open a streamer with the correct drops enabled you will see a confirmation in their chat screen to the right of the video stream.

Check your Destiny 2 Twitch Drops progress

You may not have watched enough of the stream to have received the Twitch Drop. To check this, head to your profile icon at the top right of the Twitch page. Head to Drops and Rewards where you can check that your Destiny 2 Twitch Drops are working.

Collect your Twitch Drop from the Tower

Most Twitch Drops are deposited in the Special Deliveries area of the Tower. However, if you’re looking for your Diamond Medallion, head to Eva Levante. After speaking to her you will notice that the Diamond Medallion is lit up, ready for you to claim it. You can do this once a week through Twitch Drops.
