Exploring the world and crafting the best weapons in the game fall short when you can’t find the last switch on a dungeon. Here is how to solve the Mistbury Catacombs puzzle in Enshrouded.

Enshrouded: How to solve Mistbury Catacombs puzzle

If you have been following the main quests in Enshrodued, Mistbury Catacombs is probably the first dungeon you will visit during your adventures across Embervale. It is located northeast of the Springlands Ancient Spire and directly north of the Scavenger Camp, where you collected the Scavenger Matron Head.

This dungeon will have you activate four different switches to get to its reward. You will have to face lesser shroud monsters, so bring some decent weaponry. You will also encounter several locked doors that you can open if you craft lockpicks (which will require Metal Scraps). If you are short of those, either visit the Scavenger Camp south of Mistbury Catacombs or just use your Felling Axe to destroy them (just the wood ones).

Mistbiury Catacombs Switch 1

From the main room, jump down to the level below where you will become enshrouded. If you walk to the southeasternmost part of the dungeon, you will find a corner where you will see the first switch. Use a wand or bow to shoot it to activate it.

Mistbiury Catacombs Switch 2

Right on the same corridor from Switch 1, you will see an opening with a floor with a deadly shroud. Use your Grappling Hook to jump to the level above.

If you explore the whole area, you will just end up traveling to the main room back again. However, there is a secret pathway to a new area. Right after you use the Grappling Hook, look to the wall on the right and you will see an opening where you can use your pickaxe. This will open up a way to the second switch. Just beware of the enshrouded soldier waiting for you.

Once in the new room, head to the second switch after defeating the shrouded soldiers and activate it. You are done with this side of the dungeon.

Mistbiury Catacombs Switch 3

Head to the left side of the dungeon and you will see some stairs heading up. Go up and look for some climbing grids.

Once you find them, head up and turn to the right and you will see a switch on the other side of the room. If you have unlocked the Double Jump – and you should – then use it along with your Glider to interact with it. However, you can also use a bow to shoot an arrow from a distance in case you are incapable of making the jump.

Mistbiury Catacombs Switch 4

Once you activate Switch 3, you will need to head back to the main room of the dungeon. There’s a wooden platform on the left side which you can jump to by using the double jump and Glider combination.

Head up the stairs and you will see the final Switch across the main room of the dungeon. Use your bow to staff to shoot it from a distance to open up the final door that will lead you to your reward.

Interact with the gravesite and you will collect the Pikemead’s Bulwark. This is arguably one of the best early-game shields you can have, so make sure to pick it up and test it out.

While the Mistbury Catacombs dungeon can be a bit confusing if you head on blindly, once you understand its layout, you will be able to traverse it quite well. Just be sure to not fall into the deadly shroud since it was a massive grave for my character’s multiple lives.
